This course is developed and delivered by Solver. Solver is a global Microsoft CPM Gold Partner with a focus on Microsoft Office Performance Point Server 2007™. Solver has a world-wide collaboration with Microsoft and has since 2004 been assisting the Microsoft development team with the functional specifications of PPS Planning, using the long experience within Planning, Budgeting/Forecasting and Consolidation. Solver has been driving many of the PPS 2007 projects around the world that has been started up to date. Trainers within Solver have all been driving multiple full PPS implementations. Thus, this course offer a unique combination of pedagogic skills and state-of-the-art project experience.

Innhold:

    * Build solutions that require Currency Conversion, Intercompany Reconciliation and use of Assumption models.
    * How to build reports that shows advanced period calculations, as 12 month rolling, use of business rules which uses if-statements and statistical functions.
    * Use of Allocation rules to push and pull data cross models. Setup Design-time formulas to predefine Excel calculations in Assignments and Reports.
    * Further, the use of approval hierarchies in assignments and follow the total workflow will be covered.

Some repetition of the basic training, Workflow and Design time formulas, Intercompany Reconciliation, Currency Conversion and Consolidation

DAY 2
Intercompany Reconciliation, Currency Conversion and Consolidation cont. Advanced Business Rules. Pull and push cross model allocations. Native SQL Calculations,

DAY 3
Advanced Business Rules cont. Rules with IF-statements and statistical functions. Logic for handling of member position in member sets. KPI Calculations. Setup of Reporting Scenarios (like 12 month rolling revenues etc.

Forkunnskaper

Attendees should have attended the basic training held by Solver, have a completed Exam 70-556 or have acquired equivalent knowledge from PPS Planning projects. Attendees should have a basic understanding of financial reporting requirements. Besides that,it’s an advantage if the attendees have background in BIwith knowledge in SQL Server / Analysis Services, Integration Services and Excel reporting solutions.
