What products contain diisocyanates?
Diisocyanates are used in several sealing materials and means for surface treatment. Some examples are construction foam, glue, paint, varnish and sealants. In industry, various products containing diisocyanates are also used.
Who does the claim apply to?
The training requirement applies to all those who use diisocyanates and diisocyanate-containing mixtures and products in professional or industrial establishments, and those who supervise this type of work. The requirement applies to employers, employees and the self-employed.

According to REACH Regulation No. 2020/1149, there is more on use and use.
Even small amounts of isocyanates can cause serious health damage. Isocyanates have a high olfactory threshold and cannot be smelled until they are well above acceptable levels. Toxic doses can therefore be inhaled without odour warning.
