By the end of the session you should be able to:-

  • Describe what epilepsy is and the different types of seizures.
  • Describe the first aid given during and following a seizure.
  • Identify the difference between status Epilepticus and Serial seizures
  • Understand the importance of documentation and working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Recognise how epilepsy can impact on a person’s life.
  • Administer rescue medication appropriately

This is a 4 hour course delivered over zoom or in person. Participants will receive a certificate from Responsive Training which will need to be updated every two years.
