Dette kurset er perfekt for deg som ønsker å: • Utforske gleden ved å være ute i naturen med barna. • Lære praktiske tips og råd om planlegging, pakking og gjennomføring av turer. • Gi barna minner for livet – med friluftsliv som kilde til glede, mestring og fellesskap. Kurset passer for alle – uansett om du er ny i friluftsliv eller allerede en erfaren turgåer. Hva lærer du? I løpet av kurset går vi gjennom: • Planlegging og gjennomføring av turer med små barn – hva du bør tenke på før, under og etter turen. • Pakkelister og utstyr – hvilke klær og ting som gjør turen komfortabel og trygg, året rundt. • Morsomme aktiviteter ute – uten skjermer eller lekeplasser, som vekker barnas nysgjerrighet og mestringsfølelse. • Lag-på-lag-prinsippet – hvordan kle både deg selv og barna for ulike værforhold. • Hvordan skape trygge og spennende turopplevelser som engasjerer barna og gjør turene magiske. Kurset gir også konkrete råd om hvordan du kan styrke barnas tilhørighet til naturen og skape positive opplevelser de husker for livet. Om kursholderen Marius Vodrup har over 20 års erfaring med friluftsliv og en sterk lidenskap for å dele gleden ved å være ute i naturen. Som pappa har han brukt utallige turer til å bygge mestring, glede og fellesskap med barna sine. Hans bakgrunn inkluderer dykking, fisking, fjellturer og teltturer – både i Norge og utlandet. Etter at han ble pappa, har fokuset dreid seg mot å skape trygge og minneverdige opplevelser for barna. Our Arctic Training courses and tours winter 2018/2019 Have you ever dreamt of polar exploration? This is a unique, once in a life time experience. Think: Mountain snow, tundra landscapes, Scandinavian woodlands, northern lights/Aurora Borealis, Reindeer and an opportunity to push yourself under the guidance of our experienced guide so that you will have skills in your back pocket any time you need them on the mountain. Build your confidence, risk assess the terrain and snow conditions, orientation, how to stay warm and build a fire. So whether you are a beginner or intermediate we can push you to the next level! We only take small groups so that you get more one on one hands on training from your guide, Bernie. He always goes the extra mile to make your trip fun and exciting. He has over 20 years experience and many thousands of hours exploring the outdoors. Bernie is also a trained fireman and lifeguard with crisis management training so you will be in safe hands. You may also be lucky to learn a camera trick or two from Bernie as he is a professional photographer.   Frequently asked questions FAQ  Location: The Børgefjell mountain range in Namdalen between Namsskogan and Røyrvik in North-Trøndelag is the perfect spot for this type of training.   Culture & Wildlife: This beautiful tundra is situated in the same area where the native Sami people have herded reindeer for generations. Herding reindeer is still a common occupation among the Sami and we might see some of their animals during the expedition. We might even see the Wolverine or the Polar fox that are native to this area. Your guide will also teach you about the Norwegian culture, other local wildlife, flora and fauna. Northern lights: Also known as the Aurora Borealis are truly extraordinary and we have yet to be disappointed! There are no guarantees but its definitely worth taking your camera.  Weather conditions: We might experience both whiteout and extreme weather as it changes fast on the mountain. But that’s the whole experience as an explorer isn’t it??!! As the saying goes in Norway : «There is no such thing as bad weather just bad clothing» So, if you are properly dressed, as per our guidelines, you will be ready for anything!  Accommodation: Our homes will either be in our Lavvo or in our Helsport x-trem polar tents this depends on which tour you choose.  What you will gain and our goal for you: Our experienced guide will be with you all the way but the tour is set up for those of you that want to learn how to plan, choose a route and navigate if you so wish. If you choose one of our longer expedition tours you will, as an explorer, really test your own skills in polar conditions. Team work, good spirits and the willingness to push yourself is as important as your stamina to pull a pulk and ski over long distance. After a longer ski expedition, will you have the skills of doing self guided trips. The rutines and knowledge will be well rehearsed.
