Dynamic Positioning Basic Training [+]
Innhold Dynamisk posisjonering (DP) er et datastyrt system for automatisk å opprettholde skipets posisjon ved å bruke skipets egne propeller og thrustere. Kurset gir deltakeren grunnleggende teroretisk og praktisk kunnskap om dynamisk posisjonering i samsvar med krav fra Nautisk Institutt (NI) sitt opplæringsløp, fase 1. Deltakerne får gjennomføre praktiske øvelser på ulike DP system og gjøre seg kjent med tilgjengelig funksjonalitet, prinsipp som ligger til grunn for virkemåte og praktisk bruk. MERK: Alt kursmateriellet og presentasjonsmateriell vil være på engelsk Emneoversikt Definisjoner og terminologi Hovedelementene i DP systemet, inkludert redundans Koblinger til andre system på skipet, blant annet Power Management Posisjonsreferansesystem og andre måleinstrumenter Manøvrering og styring (simulator) Lover og regler Alarmtilstander og begrensninger Forkunnskaper Deltakere må ha et STCW sertifikat (II-1, II-2, III-3 Dekk eller III-1, III-2, III-3 maskin) eller være under utdanning mot et STCW certificate. Etter kurset vil du Etter å ha bestått eksamen kan kandidaten starte å opparbeide 60 dager DP fartstid på et DP fartøy,for å kunne delta på DP Simulator kurs.  Kurset passer for Navigatører og maskinister som trenger kjennskap til DP system, spesielt de som ønsker å kvalifisere seg til Nautical Institute sitt DP Operator Certification program. Eksaminering Kurset avsluttes med eksamen. Kursdeltakere som ikke består eksamen ved første forsøk får tilbud å gjennomføre 2. forsøk samme dag. Ta derfor høyde for dette i forhold til hjemreise. [-]

Dynamic Positioning Simulator Course [+]
Innhold Gi deltakeren dypere innsikt, kunnskap og selvtillit til å stå ansvarlig for DP kontrollpulten og planlegge og gjennomføre DP operasjoner. Deltakerne vil få gjennomføre praktiske øvelser på flere ulike typer DP system  Simulatorkurset er fase 3 i Nautisk Institutt sitt DP Operatør program. Emneoversikt Kurset baserer seg på at kandidaten tidligere har fullført DP Basic kurset. Kurset omfatter posisjoneringssystem, framdriftssystem, effekt fordeling og effekt regulering. Det er fokus på lover og regler fra relevante myndigheter så vel som sikkerhet og effektivitet. Gjennom forelesninger og simulatorøvelser får deltakerne lære om forberedelse og gjennomføring av ulike DP operasjoner. Ulike referansesystem og DP system fra Rolls-Royce, L-3, MT, Kongsberg og ALSTOM (Converteam) vill bli brukt under kurset.  Forkunnskaper Deltakere må ha fullført DP Basic kurset og familiarisering. Basic kurset kan ikke være eldre enn fem (5) år. Et gyldig STCW sertifikat (II-1, II-2, III-3 Dekk eller II I-1, III-2, III-3 maskin) kreves. Kurset passer for Navigatører, maskinister og DPO elever som har til hensikt å kvalifisere seg som DPO etter Nautical Institute sitt program.  Eksaminering Kurset avsluttes med teoretisk og praktisk eksamen. Dynamisk Posisjonering (DP) er mye brukt i offshoreindustrien, på eldre og nye fartøy samt rigger. Systemet blir mer og mer vanlig, og kompetansen trengs på stadig flere fartøy.  DP er høyaktuelt og legger grunnlaget for en navigatørjobb offshore. Når undervannsutrustninger skal vedlikeholdes eller løftes på plass på store havdyp, må skipet bruke dynamisk posisjonering (DP) for å holde posisjonen. På mange felt er utstyrstettheten på havbunnen så stor at det er umulig å ankre opp. Med DP kan fartøyer og boreinnretninger til havs holde sin posisjon uten å ankre opp.  I løpet av kursuken gis innføring i posisjoneringssystemet som blir stadig mer vanlig på rigger og fartøy offshore. Du lærer å samle data som forteller nøyaktig hvordan vær og vind påvirker et fartøys posisjonering og manøvrering. Vi gir praktisk undervisning med simulatortrening som gir god trening og individuell oppfølging.  Hvem kan søke - forkunnskaper og deltakere Vi krever at det er fullført STCW Sikkerhetskurs for sjøfolk. DPO Specialization, Advanced operations is a course within the DNVGL DPO certification sceeme for advanced offshore vessel operations. [+]
LEARNING OBJECTIVES This course is specifically designed for training future DPO’s onboard a large number of offshore vessels. After the course the successful participant has: Acquired a thorough knowledge of the various types of DP operations. Examples of operations: cable laying, pipe laying, ROV operations, trenching, dredging and rock-dumping The capability to operate the DP in the various modes  associated with such operations, i.e. joystick, auto pos. mode, autotrack mode and follow target mode The competence to recognize when environmental conditions or system failure requires DPO to take action to avoid hazardous situations The ability to carry out such operations according to existing operational guidelines and checklists The ability to demonstrate good personal attitudes towards safety in operating DP vessels according to best practice in the industry CONTENT Planning, briefing and de-briefing of various field exercises  according to the existing guidelines, regulations, and industry standards. Repetition of necessary DP theory to close any knowledge gap the students may have in these subjects. LEARNING PROCESS Practical training simulator: All DP exercises will be carried out on a full scale DNV GL Approved DP Class A simulator, using vessels that are equipped according to DP class 2 and 3. The participants will performe both surface and subsea operations, utilizing the following DP modes: Joystick, Autoposition, Autotrack and Follow target functionalities. The DPO Revalidation course is a course within The Nautical Institute Sceeme and revalidates your DPO Certificate if you are short of DP sea time [+]
LEARNING OBJECTIVES By the end of the course the participants should: Have acquired knowledge of the latest rules and regulations Have acquired knowledge of the latest developments within sensors and Position Reference Systems (PRS) Have acquired knowledge of the latest relevant DP incidents and wy they occurred Be able to recognize the various alarm, warning and information messages Carry out operational planning, risk assessment and hazard identification tasks Set up the DP system for a particular task/operation Decide on courses of action because of system failure CONTENT The course is conducted as classroom training, combining theoretical presentation (Show-and Tell Lessons) and practical work/discussion with exercises in simulator and guidance (Stair-Step learning design). For practical capabilities and skills, exercises are performed in full equipped DP simulator. This course will fulfil the revalidation learning objectives as specified by Nautical institute. SPECIAL INFORMATION At present (2016), the requiremets is that the holder of a Nautical Institute (NI) DPO certificate must revalidate their DPO certificates. The requirement is that the DPO must have at least 150 days of DP sea time experience in the previous 5 years, if not NI DPO Revalidation course is needed. [-]

DNVGL DPO Exam, This exam tests the skills and competence of a DPO against the requirements given in the competence standard [+]
EXAM OBJECTIVES This exam tests the skills and competence of a DPO against the requirements given in the competence standard (see "special information"). The exam is a thorough test, covering the most important competences for a DPO, in compliance with relevant DNVGL competence standards. The DPO Experience course is a volum training course in the DNVGL certification sceeme [+]
LEARNING OBJECTIVES The objective of this course is to give the trainee DPOs as much hands-on experience as possible in the time available. This is achieved by running the candidates through intensive simulator training whilst being exposed to environmental and technical worst case scenarios. This will increase the candidate’s operational skills and knowledge in DP Operations.
