Faglig innhold: Innføring i grunnleggende bruk av spørrespråket SQL og relasjonsdatabase. MySQL brukes som databaseverktøy. SQL for å opprette tabeller, legge inn og endre data, samt å utføre søk i data. Design av relasjonsdatabase inkl. bruk av nøkler og referanseintegritet. Enkel bruk av ER-diagram og oversetting til tabeller. Læremål: Etter å ha gjennomført emnet skal studenten ha følgende læringsutbytte: KUNNSKAPER Studenten har: - kunnskap om sentrale begreper innen relasjonsdatabaser, og kan gjøre rede for disse - kunnskap om hvordan en relasjonsdatabase er bygd opp ved å se på relasjonene (tabellene) og tilhørende nøkler - kunnskap om et ER-diagram, og vite hvordan dette kan oversettes til relasjonsmodellen FERDIGHETER Studenten kan: - lage sin egen relasjonsdatabase med tabeller, nøkler og referanseintegritet - opprette en database i et valgt databaseverktøy (databasesystem) - utføre SQL-spørringer mot en gitt database - tegne sitt eget ER-diagram for å oppnå en god databasedesign GENERELL KOMPETANSE Studenten har: - en bevisst holdning til strukturell lagring og representasjon av data i et informasjonssystem - en bevisst holdning til databasedesign [-]
