Everyone who is to carry out work on national and county roads must be trained in work warning.
Regardless of whether it is paid work or not
The purpose of work warning is to: • secure workers and road users, • discontinue traffic past the workplace with the least possible delay and inconvenience to road users, • enable efficient and economical operation of the work. In order to achieve these objectives, it is important that traffic regulations in connection with work on or by the road are planned and carried out accurately. In order for road users to be able to act correctly, all notification and security must be correct, clear, consistent and uniform.

Everyone who is to carry out work on or by the road must at least have completed course 1, based on the Norwegian Public Roads Administration's handbook N301. By work on the road, is meant here all work that involves a stay on the road, including inspection, control, inspection, etc.
All employees who perform work on or by the road must have the necessary competence in work notification. The requirements for training apply to everyone who is to carry out work on national and county roads, regardless of whether this is paid or not.
For road workers, traffic poses a danger in that they can be hit and injured during the execution of the work. These dangers can be considerably reduced by proper and good warning and securing the work.
The candidate should master Norwegian in writing and orally.
