Faget skal gi grunnleggende kunnskaper i hvordan digitale ressurser og teknologier påvirker forretningsdrift og utvikling av virksomheter. [+]
Digitalisering betyr i utgangspunktet å gjøre noe digitalt. I en årrekke har vi digitalisert informasjon om virksomheten, kommunikasjon internt og eksternt med mer. Begrepet digitalisering har i dag imidlertid større rekkevidde enn tidligere digitalisering av informasjon, det handler om å i enda større grad digitalisere og automatisere prosesser, det handler om å sømløst kommunisere over flere kanaler, og det handler om å utnytte muligheter som nye teknologier presenterer, og ikke minst å transformere måten bedrifter fungerer på, å endre forretningsmodellene eller prinsippene bedriftene opererer etter. Faget skal gi en grunnleggende forståelse både for hvilke ressurser og systemer som finnes i virksomheter, informasjonen de inneholder, og hvordan de støtter bedriftens prosesser. I tillegg tar faget opp hvordan nye digitale teknologier påvirker og kan påvirke både rammevilkår og prinsipper for forretningsdrift innen ulike bransjer. Faget tar opp teknologier som regnes med under Industri 4.0, endring av forretningsmodeller og digtial strategi. Fokus i faget er å kunne se mulighetene, og truslene, som teknologi representerer for bedrifter innenfor ulike bransjer. [-]
